Programme description

A practice-oriented, industry-focused master's programme designed to produce job-ready engineering leaders who can design, implement, and manage complex digital systems at scale. It emphasises advanced technical skills, system-level integration, project management, and innovation in real-world applications.

Key features

  • Applied engineering, design, and development rather than pure research
  • Extended industry or applied capstone project (no lengthy academic thesis required)
  • Integration of emerging technologies with business and operational considerations
  • Direct preparation for senior technical and leadership roles in industry
  • Access to advanced laboratories in 5G/6G, AI, IoT, Cybersecurity, Data Centres, and Robotics

Project

Students complete a substantial Extended Design & Development Project instead of a traditional thesis — involving real-world problem identification with industry input, detailed system design and architecture, implementation, testing, validation, deployment, and a final presentation to an industry panel.

Entry requirements (standalone)

  • A recognised Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a closely related field (CGPA ≥ 2.75 or equivalent)
  • English proficiency (IELTS 6.0 / TOEFL iBT 80 or acceptable equivalents)
  • Relevant work experience is an advantage but not mandatory
  • Interview or portfolio review may be required for certain majors
