We want you to feel confident about your decision to study with ETAS. This policy explains what happens if you withdraw from a programme, and how refunds are handled. Please read it before you enrol, and contact the WMU admissions team if you have any questions.
Cooling-Off Period
If you withdraw within the cooling-off period after enrolment (as specified in your enrolment confirmation), you may be entitled to a refund of tuition paid, less any non-refundable application or registration fee. The length of the cooling-off period will be stated in your enrolment documentation.
Withdrawal After the Cooling-Off Period
If you withdraw after the cooling-off period, the refund you may be entitled to depends on how far into the programme you are at the point of withdrawal. Refund tiers are set out in your enrolment documentation and generally reduce as the programme progresses, reflecting the teaching, resources, and support already provided.
Non-Refundable Items
The following are generally non-refundable:
- Application and registration fees.
- Any third-party fees already paid on your behalf (for example, external examination or certification fees).
- Materials or services already delivered to you.
How to Withdraw
To withdraw, notify the WMU admissions team in writing. Your withdrawal takes effect from the date your written notice is received. We encourage you to speak with us first — if you are struggling, there may be support or flexible arrangements that let you continue rather than withdraw.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method or as otherwise agreed, within the timeframe stated in your enrolment documentation. Where a refund involves currency conversion or third-party payment providers, any associated charges may apply.
Exceptional Circumstances
If you need to withdraw because of serious illness, bereavement, or other significant personal circumstances, contact the WMU admissions team. Such cases are considered individually and with care, and reasonable accommodations or discretionary refunds may be possible.
Changes by ETAS
In the rare event that ETAS withdraws or significantly changes a programme before you complete it, you will be informed and offered a suitable alternative or an appropriate refund.
This policy forms part of your Enrolment Terms. Specific refund amounts, timeframes, and the cooling-off period applicable to your enrolment are set out in your enrolment documentation. Contact the WMU admissions team for details.
